Cost & Programming Options
Right now, Disney+ offers just one programming tier. Subscribers have access to a huge vault of Disney content, including classic movies and original programming. All of the Star Wars movies are available, in addition to the new original TV Show “The Mandalorian” which is set in the Star Wars universe.
They do offer two payment options – subscribers can pay $6.99 monthly or $69.99 for the year.
Availability
You can watch Disney+ on many streaming devices, including Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, PlayStation, Xbox One, and many more. Access is also available directly on the web or through your iOS or Android device.
Chef’s Take
Disney+ is an exciting new player in the world of digital streaming. It’s also a dream come true for many parents whose kids’ have been clamoring for Disney programming. Disney has always restricted digital access to their content – platforms like Netflix and Hulu typically had access to only a small percentage of Disney movies. The arrival of Disney+ feels like Christmas for Disney fans.
At their $6.99 monthly price point, Disney+ is a no-brainer for anyone who enjoys Disney content. However, do note that Disney+ won’t serve as a replacement for Netflix and other similar platforms, because so far, Disney+ only features Disney content. So you’ll have to get your non-Disney entertainment fix elsewhere.
Happy streaming!
