Everything You Need to Know About AT&T TV Now

AT&T TV Now is aiming to emerge as a leader among the handful of live TV streaming services available today. Specifically, it’s marketing itself as a competitor for Hulu with Live TV, YouTube TV, and Sling TV. But, does AT&T TV Now truly stack up against these well-established streaming platforms?

To answer that question, we did a deep dive into all things AT&T TV Now to see what value their content, features, and pricing could bring to today’s consumers.

Content

AT&T TV Now offers both live and on-demand TV content. Depending on the package that you choose, you’ll get a selection of leading channels. This platform offers basic cable networks, including CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, and FOX, along with other favorites like TNT, Bravo, TBS, and FX.

One of the biggest draws of AT&T TV Now is its inclusion of certain channels that you won’t find on Hulu with Live TV or Youtube TV. These channels include:

  • BET
  • Comedy Central
  • Nickelodeon
  • Nick Jr.
  • VH1
  • MTV

In addition to the channels included in your package, you have the option to add on special content for an extra fee. Available add-ons include:

  • Premium channels, including Showtime, Starz, and Cinemax
  • International TV, news, and sports
  • NBA League Pass Premium (live game coverage)
  • Spanish add-ons

A cloud DVR is also included in your AT&T Now subscription. So, you can access recorded shows and movies from all of your smart devices.

Special Features

AT&T TV Now offers a handful of unique features, including:

  • Three simultaneous streams are included with all AT&T TV Now national packages (international packages include two simultaneous streams).
  • AT&T TV Now is available on these devices:
    • Apple
    • Android
    • Amazon Fire TV devices
    • Chromecast devices
  • As a new customer, you’ll get a one-week free trial with your purchase of the PLUS, MAX, or International packages.

Final Thoughts

It’s clear that AT&T TV Now is designed to replace cable for people who aren’t willing to give up on live TV and DVR functionality. But, we can’t help but notice that this new platform is far higher in price than its direct competitors, like YouTube TV and Hulu with Live TV.

There are certain channels available on AT&T TV Now that you won’t find on Hulu or YouTube TV, including Comedy Central, BET, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., MTV, and VH1. If these channels are must-haves in your household, then AT&T TV Now is worth a look. Otherwise, you’ll save money while enjoying live TV access by opting for YouTube TV or Hulu with live TV instead.
